What happens with the pension fund in the event of a divorce? You will find the most important information here.

In the event of a divorce or the dissolution of a registered partnership, the court decides on the distribution of the amounts paid into the pension fund during the marriage. In most cases, part of the termination benefit or a portion of a lifelong pension of the insured person is awarded to the entitled spouse.

As soon as we have received the final judgement of the court, we will make the payment in accordance with the court ruling and transfer the specified portion to the pension or vested benefits institution of the entitled spouse. If a lifelong pension is awarded, we will pay it to the entitled spouse or transfer it to their pension or vested benefits institution.

As a result, the retirement assets of the obligated spouse are reduced by the amount transferred. However, they can repurchase this partial payment and thus compensate for the reduction in their retirement assets.
